A Little Love

It was a bit difficult to maintain Valentine traditions in the middle of home improvement and house selling, but we managed. I love Valentine's Day for the chance to surprise my loves and express my appreciation. This year was simple but heartfelt. Watson did get to make his very first Valentine's Day box and hand out cards to classmates. It was so fun to be part of this first for him.

Of course, Watson was pleased with his Lego set gifts and couldn't have asked for anything more. It was a fun day.

A BIG Change

So this month there was a heck of a lot of this:

No straight walls here, anywhere.

This was the final layer of linoleum we found in the kitchen.

Watson left his mark on the stair riser. His name a couple of times and a picture of himself.
All because of this:

We finally decided we found a new home worth moving for. It has been a few years coming but still a little bit unexpected. So, before we put our cute little bungalow on the market, we fixed up a few things. I should say, Scott and Spencer fixed up a few things. Scott worked day and night to tear out the linoleum in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom. He also removed a couple of layers of sub-floor to make it more even with the rest of the house. I'm not sure that was really possible but he did more than his best on it. We installed a laminate floor in the kitchen and hallway, tile in the bathroom, and new carpet in the bedrooms and stairway. Everything looked really good when we were done. We loved our house. It really was a great home to become a family in. We loved the people around us. We feel very blessed to have been there. It was hard to move on, but felt right.

DinoRama

Preschool has been one of those things that has caused Watson to growth spurt in every direction. Mrs. King has been funny and creative and patient and lovely. All of the kids love her. All of the kids listen to her. Watson believes her word is law, thank heavens. He had an assignment to make a little diorama for Dinosaur week. We made it as a family. He had most of the ideas and Scott and I added a few extra touches (I did suggest the one dinosaur eating the other.) It turned out great and Watson was a trooper with his first big school assignment.
