It's a Tradition!

I love Christmastime and the fun traditions we have as a family. This year was a little more low key, having a new little babe around the house. But, we managed to do most everything. And it was fun, fun, fun! Of course Mr. Jim arrived on December 1st with new PJ's for Watson and Daisy. He tries to help Watson remember what Christmas is all about. Watson loves to find him each morning and can't wait to tell us about the newest hiding place.

Watson and Daisy match with "be good" pajamas. Watson is THE best big brother to sweet Daisy. He loves her and is always near when she is awake.

We made it downtown for the Miller Family Christmas Sing Along, amazingly. I'm proud of myself for overcoming a little bit anxiety of being out late with the baby. We had fun eating donuts and singing Christmas carols at the top of our lungs.

Watts and I have a tradition of making sugar cookies to deliver to a retirement home. He made sure there were plenty of sprinkles... Since we haven't been in Bluffdale long I wasn't sure where we should visit. We found a cute little place close by in Lehi. We talked with the residents, Watson handed out cookies, and they fawned over his and Daisy's cuteness. It was time well spent. I think I'd like to do that more often. We need to find a little retirement home in our community to adopt.

Of course Watson wrote his annual letter to Santa. He asked for a new Xbox and Lego Disney Infinity game. He mailed it at Thanksgiving Point's special Santa mailbox. I love this magical part of Christmas.
We fit in a quick jaunt around Temple Square one night. It was plenty cold but the snow and lights were beautiful. I love doing this every year.

We were also able to visit The Grand America. The gingerbread cabin this year was fantastic! The windows are always decorated so fun and it's nice to get a little treat after we finish questionnaire.

Daisy likes to watch things move. I like to watch Dad love on Daisy.
Chandler is almost always a good sport about our family activities. We love having him home.

Of course we needed to make at least one gingerbread house of our own. We collaborated to make this lovely creation. Watson's favorite part was eating the candy as we worked. Chandler made sure practically every area was covered.

I love our family Christmas traditions. Sometimes it feels like some work to pull it all together, but I never regret the time I put into it. I'm grateful we can spend so much time together. My family is my greatest blessing.
