Missing Legoland

Watson is 3. Going on 10. All of sudden I've begun to realize how short our time is together before I hand him over to the public school system for much of his day, much of the year. So, Scott and I decided we should take a little spontaneous trip to LegoLand. A new Lego Hotel opened recently so we took advantage of a special and frequent flyer points for tour little trip. Grandma Nettie came too, to keep us company and enjoy San Diego's perfect climate. It was a fantastic break from everything, for Mom and Watson anyway. Dad stayed home and worked while we played. (Thanks Honey, for making this happen for us. We love you!)
Every part of the trip was exciting: the airplane ride, the rental car, the AWESOME hotel, collecting mini figures, dancing in the elevator, riding rides, building with legos, playing in the ocean.

Watson's Pirate Eye

Part of the "treasure" he found in our room.

Our Pirate Eyes together.

Already a driving Pro.

No candy here, just Legos.

What did you do?

For weeks after our trip Watson would wake in the middle of the night, calling out for LegoLand. It was a memorable and successful trip. He can't wait to go back and enjoy it all over again.
