Spring Soccer with lots of Enthusiasm
Last Fall Watson participated in a little soccer program called Mini Kickers. It is a soccer group organized by age group to teach soccer skills to young kids. He had a great time, even though he barely understood his coaches--one was British, the other Scottish. This spring he asked to play "real" soccer so he could kick the ball really hard. We enrolled him in the Dimple Dell program, shopped for cleats, and picked up a new sport jersey. He loved just about every part of the experience. We didn't find cleats his size, but we did find really, really, fast red shoes. He liked running around the field the whole game and goofing around with his coach. The kids did pretty good during the games, there were even a few who are potential soccer stars. It was a fun thing to be involved with and Watson can't wait to play again in the fall!
